We ate very well here. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The service was very friendly. We had the food on the table very quickly. Everything was also Corona compliant. I deduct one point because the portion is a little smaller. But as a good eater, I may not be a benchmark. You could pay with an EC card.

Delicious East Frisian home-style cooking with the best plaice (1 + **) and potatoes (how can potatoes taste so good ???!?)! For years consistently delicious food and nice service. The open-minded cook took apart a huge gurnard and we were allowed to watch! Totally interesting.

We were on vacation on Baltrum from the end of August to the beginning of September. While looking for a restaurant we came across the restaurant "Zum Seehund". We were served with very tasty dishes (freshly prepared). Very friendly and attentive staff prompted us to reserve a table for the evening for the entire duration of our stay, which was urgently necessary due to the corona hygiene measures.

"Basti", the young dynamic cook from the seal, has conjured up again and put together a delicious gurnard fillet on truffled leek from his famous "fish box". In addition to his famous medium-sized North Sea sole and the turbot, which I recently enjoyed, a third, completely new explored fish taste explosion that I got to know here this summer. Keep it up !

Delicious food with an authentic island flair in a cute, small restaurant. The service was extremely friendly and obviously enjoyed her job! When you go on holiday to Baltrum, the seal is a must.

Visited as a tip from a local. Everything at its finest. Super nice service. Good food, decent portions, fair prices. Corona rules perfectly implemented. When we come back to Baltrum, it will be the seal.

My personal favorite on Baltrum. We always ate very well here. The service is friendly, courteous and service-oriented. The range of food and drinks is good and reasonable. From vegetarian to fish and meat, everything is included. We would love to come back.

Moin. Fine restaurant - were there twice during Whitsun 2020 - everything was very, very tasty - friendly service - absolutely professional and attentive. For me it was new - my wife knew it from a very early stage - but one thing is clear: it still stayed that good !!! Must absolutely go back in October - there is no other way. There was also a good and perfect system at these CORONA times. Everything is fine. Gladly again !!!

Very friendly courteous staff, exceptionally good food consistently, were there at 5t! Whether fish, meat, soup, drinks. Everything is very good! Totally quaint and definitely to feel good!

Great food for a reasonable price. You should be there early before 18 o'clock, because the rush is great. For us that was the best meal of the week on Baltrum.
